THE 2007 AGM
 

Thirty six people attended the AGM on March 19th of whom 33 are on the electoral roll and three were visitors.

A full transcript of the minutes will be available after they have been accepted by the Chaplaincy Council but we can report on the main points here.

Chaplaincy Wardens

Jean Bates and John Bosley, the outgoing Chaplaincy Wardens were thanked for their dedication to the post over the last 12 months. There were 3 nominees for the two posts of Churchwarden and Jean Bates and Shirley Beard were elected to serve for the following twelve months.

Chaplaincy Council

The outgoing members of the Chaplaincy Council were thanked for their work of the last year. There were eleven nominees for the eight members of the Chaplaincy Council and

Fay Briffet

Alan Charlesworth

Sue Dale

Jean Kelly

Elizabeth Thomas

Alec West

were elected.

Sidespersons

It was noted that all willing members of the congregations could act as sidepersons at services as and when necessary

Electoral Roll Officer

Jean Kelly was thanked for her work over the previous year and was unanimously elected to serve as Electoral Roll Officer for a further 12 months.

Sacristan

Ophelia John was thanked for her work in preparing the sanctuary.

Accounts

The Audited Financial Statements and reports for the year ended 31st December 2006 were received and accepted without query. Philip Davies (Treasurer), Jean Bates (Assistant Treasurer) and Alan Charlesworth (Gift Aid Secretary) were thanked for their hard work and efforts.

Reports

The meeting also received reports from the Chaplaincy Wardens, Archdeaconary Synod representatives and the magazine editor which were accepted unanimously.

Particular thanks were given to Lionel Flather for his work as magazine editor over the past three years.

First New Council Meeting

At a meeting of the new council after the AGM Kate Bosley was elected as Lay Vice Chairman of the Council and Jean Kelly was appointed as Deputy Churchwarden for San Eugenio and Alec West Deputy Churchwarden for Espiritu Santo.
