A bright and beautiful church right in the
centre of Los Gigantes right in the main square. It is famous for its huge
mural behind the altar depicting the Holy Spirit descending on Christ,
surrounded by a number of local dignitaries! It caused quite a stir when
it was first shown but has now become a much loved part of the church and
the village. Above the entrance there is a small circular stained glass
window which shows the four islands of the Roman Catholic Diocese of
Tenerife - Tenerife, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma. A REMINDER OF

Central Los Gigantes in the early sixties, the foundations are laid for the cobbled courtyards which lead off from the then un built Plaza Bouganville, the third of the stepped tiers towards the back of the photo was subsequently levelled when the church was later built.
